EventTracker PULSE[1] is a search-engine for event log data that helps system administrators diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, service disruptions, IT failures and security breaches[2].
Available as a free trial[3] download, EventTracker PULSE automates the real-time collection and archival of log data from Windows (servers and workstations), Unix/Linux, Cisco devices, applications and any Syslog source[4].A Google –like[5] search interface allows users to search through this data using free-form keywords, exact phrases, operators and wildcard characters, as well as make use of preconfigured search categories[6]. It also provides integrated access to the Prism Microsystems KnowledgeBase – a web repository of descriptions on over 20,000 event IDs to help diagnose unfamiliar events[7][8].
EventTracker PULSE is offered by Prism Microsystems as part of a corporate initiative to help system administrators better leverage log data. The company is based in Columbia, Maryland and also provides enterprise solutions for Security Information and Event Log Management (SIEM).
